Students from the University of West Alabama set out on a wild goose chase unleashing their childhood life-learned lessons on a scavenger hunt. The students were to find different landmarks and activities around the university as well as within the city limits of Livingston.
This event was hosted by a select group of Integrated Marketing Communication major students and their advisor Dr. Amy Jones. The event can indeed be counted a success.
The students faces were filled with smiles and excitement showing how anxious they were to set out on this task. They set out in teams of up to five people and were limited to an hour time limit to find as many activities on their check off list. They were required to take photos with that landmark or capture the moment of them doing a specific activity.
The points were then calculated once they returned back to the check in table and the winners were announced. Taking first and second place was VolleyBall one and two. Placing third in the scavenger hunt was team IMCrazies and Alpha Sigma Alpha accumulated the highest score over all the greeks.
The event was called Capture the Kid in You. This is an event in which funds were raised by each group paying a entry fee and the collected money being donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. The hosts also collected the soda can tops to turn in as well in support of the RMHC campaign. Over 700 dollars were raised from this event.
