The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity of The University of West Alabama will commemorate its 50th anniversary on March 1 with the Annual TKE Red Carnation Ball. Invitations are extended to brothers, alumni, TKE sweethearts, “little sisters” and other past-and-present friends of TKE to enjoy a night filled with fine dining and a reception. The fraternity invites all individuals connected to their organization to celebrate the organization’s growth and accomplishments for the past half-century.
Brothers of the fraternity are celebrating the Iota Upsilon chapter of UWA as the first national Greek organization to reach a 50-year anniversary. The Iota chapter is the first Greek organization on a four-year college campus in Alabama.
TKE alumni will join influential speakers from the university to speak at the reception, which begins at 4:00 p.m. in Moon House on March 1. Immediately following the banquet, those who have purchased tickets to the banquet will be directed to Young Hall Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
“We have close to 130 planning to attend with reservations,” said Caleb Walters, brother of TKE. “We urge those wanting to participate to purchase a plate for the banquet as a reservation.”
After Thursday, February 27, reservations will be closed, so don’t forget to reserve your space before all seating is taken.
More information about the event can be found online at www.tke.uwa.edu/rcb.html or by finding a TKE brother around campus.
