UWA football and Coach Gilliland invited the UWA student body out to take part in the scrimmage game held Thursday, April 17. The student body was encouraged to come out and show support for the red and white Tigers of West Alabama. The students were treated with pizza to enjoy as the Tigers took to the field.
As the the student body enjoyed their pizza, the Tigers went to work, seizing any opportunity given to get preparation for the upcoming season. Coach Gilliland ran about 80 plays from his playbook.
If you still have not been fortunate enough to see the 2014 Tigers, daily spring practice starts at 3:15 p.m. In addition to all the spring practices and scrimmages, the Tigers will host their official spring game on April 26. The game will kick off at 10 a.m. at Tiger Stadium.
